Bryna in Africa - Apr 14 update

bonjour my lovelys!

I have had the most amazing past few days! I have been working with 3 orphan monkeys and a very old monkey named engleky! She has had a bad stoke and can't realy move... controvercial but she is amazing too work with! My babys are so cute! Aurthur, the man who started and runs the show has told me repetedly that he is very inpressed with me. He said today to the monkeys " well yeeeesssss, it is so good we have such a natural monkey mother for you, yeeeessss, a really good keeper!" Very exciting! A monkey named Hunchback, was in with me and the monkeys I'm working with today. He is scared of people and has no real abitlity to move his spine. After spending 2 hours in there I was having a cuddle with Munchkin who was sleeping in my neck and Hunchback came over to cuddle in my lap and cleaned me as I cleaned him! So amazing! I teared a bit I tell you!

There are crap jobs too do, like water and bowl washing, but all my afternoons so far have been with Arthur and Lisa and the sick monkeys so I am having the most amazing time, it helps when the two of them are telling me what a great job I'm doing!

We had a great night at the pub, met Craig who is going too take me looking for herps (reptiles) out in the bush one day! He is the resident reptile expert in Tzaneen so he will be playing with venomous snakes and I will be standing WAY back! haha. Everyone is still so nice! Some crap food, (all cheese and bread- so much for loseing weight! hahah! ) but still edible! I am learning so much! I like that I work next to Arthur because it meens I get too learn a lot more!

So I had my first day in town- got my wallet stolen.... my credit card, bank card, health card, and 150 Rand (not more than 30$ - no big deal) but pain in the ass! It was not violent, I'm safe, just sucked, he bumped into me while I was on the street and grabed it out of my purse that was zipped up and zipped it back while Ellen was walking behind me and I grabed my bag as soon as I felt him! Sneaky! I had just taken out 1600 Rand, luckily I didn't put that in my wallet! haha! No big deal! Could have been worse! My first taste of Africa!

Well, there is a qeue (or line as we say) for the internet so I should get going! I'm having a great time! and working with the monkeys put me in a WAY better mood after getting my wallet stolen! They LOVE me! It's great! teeheehee! Love you all! But I also love the monkeys! haha.
See you soon!
Bryna
Thanks for the emails! Nice to know I'm not forgotten!
